Seeking a highly skilled CT Technician to join our team at Novant Health.

About the Job

This role involves performing Computerized Tomography, X-ray and bone density procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. As a CT Technician, you will be responsible for explaining procedures to patients, performing scans, scheduling exams, and maintaining records. A key aspect of this position is adhering to radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties
  • Perform Computerized Tomography, X-Rays, and Bone Density exams using appropriate protocols
  • Schedule exams and ensure pre-authorization prior to performing scans
  • Start IVs and administer contrast media according to protocol
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
  • Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and assist first-aid care when required
  • Use time effectively and assist others where needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in radiology technology, with a focus on safety and quality patient care. Key qualifications include:

  • A registered Radiology Tech certification
  • An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
