We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Store Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting, mopping, and disposing of trash
  • Provide exceptional customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for
  • Collect and dispose of trash, and move equipment and products for proper cleaning and placement
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment
  • Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways, and other high traffic areas
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines
Requirements
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred
