As a Vehicle Condition Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have an exceptional car-buying experience. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments, collecting and recording all necessary information to provide accurate appraisal offers to our customers. You will work closely with our Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Managers to ensure that each customer leaves satisfied with their car-selling experience. We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments, collecting and recording all necessary information to provide accurate appraisal offers to our customers.

Work closely with our Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Managers to ensure that each customer leaves satisfied with their car-selling experience.

Communicate clearly with internal and external customers to ensure a seamless car-buying experience.

Collaborate with our Merchandising Department to maintain inventory and execute customer transfers.

Assist in the preparation and operation of the wholesale auction.

Partner with our Inventory and Sales Departments to conduct lot merchandising, as needed.

Assist the Merchandising Department with various other projects and office duties, as needed.

Complete assigned tasks independently and follow up after completion.

Requirements:

Deliver exceptional customer service and work with other departments to create Iconic Customer experiences.

Ability to follow detailed, standardized processes to complete work.

Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.

Multi-task in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment.

Speak and listen effectively when dealing with internal and external customers.

Function effectively within other departments in a team-oriented environment.

Successfully complete all required Workday training.

Position requires a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

Requires walking, bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods of time.

Ability to work outdoors or in any inclement weather environment for several hours.

Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays.

Requires CarMax work clothing to be worn when working in the store (acquired through CarMax World).

Adhere to all CarMax policies, including Attendance, Proper Recording of Time, Asset Protection, EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety), and Standards of Professional Appearance.

Primarily working in an outdoor environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.
