Western Region Sales Director

Job Function:

The Western Region Sales Director will be responsible for the day-to-day sales activities of the sales teams in the Western Region. The ideal candidate should reside in California.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Oversee local and regional sales, promotions, and campaigns
  • Plan and direct the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives
  • Direct and coordinate all sales activities locally and regionally
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service
  • Set discount rates and determine price points
  • Serve as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
  • Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients
  • Set sales quotas and goals
  • Oversee and direct the performance of the sales team
  • Identify emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
  • Define and execute sales plans
  • Accurately forecast sales monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Work with manufacturers to accurately forecast Beacon purchases monthly
  • Establish key contacts within large accounts that can champion our cause and help drive standardization of our services
  • Work with sales teams to promote all services and solutions represented on our line card
  • Facilitate connections from our managed services department to establish ongoing service agreements and provide clinical and other professional services
  • Engage our on-staff subject matter experts to provide the best possible solutions for our customers

Requirements:

  • Must have 10 years of experience in low voltage construction, estimating, and project budgeting
  • Experience in healthcare technology, security solutions, intercommunication systems, audio video solutions, and structured cabling estimating is desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations with employees with various personalities and emotions
  • Must understand implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people
  • Strong team player
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner
  • Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales

Working Environment:

  1. A work environment can be an office environment, medical facility, educational facility, or a customer site under construction, renovation, or warehouse space
  2. Job sites will have a variety of environmental factors including but not limited to noise, dust, and temperature changes
  3. Candidate must have capability to transfer job sites as necessary

Essential Functions:

  1. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching
  2. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input
  3. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds
  4. Must maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements
  5. Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol
  6. Must maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol
  7. 40-50% travel requirement, as needed

Salary: $128,000 - $138,000 per year, determined by relevant job experience and other factors.
