About Us:

SL Recruit is a national construction management firm dedicated to delivering exceptional results in the affordable housing sector. With a significant pipeline of upcoming projects, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to join our team.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess 7-15 years of project management/construction management experience, including experience working for both a general contractor and a developer. A proven track record of managing construction processes, conducting regular job site meetings, and implementing general contracting activities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Process Management: Conduct regular job site meetings with subcontractors, owner representatives, architects, engineers, consultants, and other project personnel.
  • Bid Analysis: Summarize all pricing, level bids, and present an analysis comparing the bids to the original cost out estimates.
  • General Contracting Activities: Implement general contracting activities for new construction and construction improvement projects.
  • Development and Approval: Coordinate development and approval of architectural and engineering construction drawings, review plans, facilitate permit procurement with partners, manage bid process, oversee improvements with the property team, and close out projects.
  • Solicitation and Evaluation: Solicit, prepare, and evaluate bid documents and review contracts to ensure complete scope coverage.
  • RFP Process Facilitation: Work with partners to facilitate site visits as part of the RFP process and meet with all necessary parties to facilitate obtaining necessary building permits.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7-15 years of project management/construction management experience, ideally including experience working for both a general contractor and a developer.
  • Affordable Housing Experience: Experience working on affordable housing projects is required.
