This position requires expertise in performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures for evaluating vascular occlusive disease. The technologist must be able to objectively identify the presence or absence of disease using a variety of ultrasound and Doppler equipment.

The technologist has the ability to modify procedures with approval from the Supervisor or Medical Director to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.

This position requires shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures for evaluating vascular occlusive disease
  • Use a variety of ultrasound and Doppler equipment to identify the presence or absence of disease
  • Modify procedures with approval from the Supervisor or Medical Director to meet special circumstances
  • Provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis
  • Participate in shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • National Registered Vascular Technologist or National Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography
  • Oregon Sonographer
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a four-year vascular technology program
  • 2 years of experience working in a Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory setting
