Software Development Manager

Job Description:
At Regions Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to oversee the development, modification, and maintenance of our applications. This role will be responsible for monitoring system applications, ensuring systems run smoothly, and creating reports outlining findings and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Provide advice and recommendations to management on processes and techniques for improved work operations
- Install and configure systems and other software
- Test installed software for malfunction detection
- Identify and resolve business systems issues
- Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
- Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
- Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Oversee the training of junior engineers to improve job skills and work efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of experience
- Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals
- Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
- Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong executional capabilities
- Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems, and how to integrate them
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Cloud experience
- Architectural Design experience
- Splunk experience
