Job Summary:

The Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for performing various loan servicing functions in relation to commercial, real estate, and consumer loans. This includes processing final closings, preparing payoff demand statements, and maintaining tracking and review of pending loan documents and exceptions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides loan payoff quotes, processes paid loans, and ensures distribution according to established procedures.
  • Assists customers with basic loan and mortgage inquiries.
  • Sets up HEAT and consumer loans and all commercial/real estate loans in the bank's core system, ensuring accurate information in accordance with loan file documentation.
  • Prepares payoff letters for all loans.
  • Prepares post-payoff loan packages, including discharges, paid notes, and customer letters.
  • Responds to research and documentation inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Maintains rate indices spreadsheets.
  • Prepares various reports.
  • Submits HEAT loan remittance reimbursements and posts transactions upon receipt of remittance funds.
  • Maintains knowledge of department policies and procedures through internal and external training activities.
  • Complies with all federal and local rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Orders supplies for the department and second floor, maintains equipment such as copiers and postage meters.


Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of loan processing practices, methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan files and documents.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service on the phone.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgment, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform accurate data input into various systems.
