Job Summary: Island Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide direct and indirect patient care, including administration of medications, IV insertions, and monitoring of cardiac rhythms.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, evaluations, and monitoring of patients undergoing procedures, and document patient responses to interventions.
  • Assist with contrast reaction management and monitor patients with pacemakers in conditional mode.
  • Start/DC IV and port with appropriate charting.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting, with previous experience in ambulatory surgery and/or IV sedation strongly preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse License issued by the WA Department of Health, and BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) encouraged.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive education program addressing normal and abnormal PICC placement by chest radiograph or equivalent on-the-job training is strongly preferred.
