Hardwood Lumber Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team at Baillie Lumber Co., one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors, and exporters. This full-time opportunity is based in Candor, NY, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Estimated Salary: $18-$24/hour, depending on experience.

This position involves conducting maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The successful candidate will have knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and be able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Experience in an electrical or industrial maintenance position is preferred, but not required. A 2-year degree or certificate in electrical/electronics, pneumatics/hydraulics is also desirable.

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Collaborate with manufacturing staff to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in an electrical or industrial maintenance position (preferred).
• Welding skills (stick, mig, or tig).
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
