Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Blood Product Storage and Distribution Technician to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of blood products to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, process, pack, and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders, prioritizing workload to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process, ensuring products/samples are suitable for release for distribution.
  • Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, and maintain product records to preserve traceability.
  • Identify and quarantine products/samples that don't meet quality requirements, and perform disposition of unacceptable product.
  • May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.

Standard Schedule: PT Variable hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Evening Shifts 3pm-11:30 pm or 5:30pm-11:30 pm. Pay Information: $17.21 hourly then $18.63 hourly after 90 days.
