Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team at Sterling County Nursing Home. As an OTA, you will play a critical role in providing rehabilitative services to our residents, helping them achieve their goals and regain independence.



Job Responsibilities


  • Provide rehabilitative services to residents with mental, physical, psychosocial, and/or developmental impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Maintain expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
  • Monitor therapy services to ensure they are performed correctly and provide encouragement when necessary.
  • Maintain patient occupational therapy records by recording resident's progress and daily notes.
  • Generate revenue by recording billing information of services rendered.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policies and procedures.
  • Help keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Serve and protect the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhance occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


Requirements


  • Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
