Academic Labor Administration Director

The Boston University Office of the Provost seeks a seasoned leader to serve as the Director of Academic Labor Administration.

This critical role requires excellent collaboration and project management skills to connect across units, schools, colleges, and Human Resources. The Director will oversee the administration of academic labor contracts with unionized student workers and faculty, establishing service level agreements and facilitating reporting and technical system needs.

Key responsibilities include overseeing cross-campus working groups, establishing consistency within academic units, and managing labor-related communications. The Director will lead regular working groups with administrators and academic leaders to ensure contract implementation and consistency across schools and colleges.

This position requires a strong background in project management, problem-solving, and thought leadership, with experience in developing efficient processes and best practices in student affairs.

In consultation with Human Resources, Institutional Research and Analytical Services, and Continuous Improvement and Data Analytics, the Director will develop robust reporting mechanisms and disseminate reports in compliance with FERPA regulations. Regular reports will also be developed for distribution to university leadership.
