Job Summary:

The Cashier performs a variety of tasks related to cash handling, customer service, and food service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify cash at the beginning of each shift and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
  • Count and reconcile cash drawers, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to sanitation standards, and follow safety protocols.
  • Participate in training programs, attend meetings, and stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a related role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work in a team environment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic math skills, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using point-of-sale systems, such as ALOHA.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
