Data Analyst, Health

As a Data Analyst, Health with American Institutes for Research, you will play a critical role in unraveling the complexities of healthcare quality, costs, and access. Our Health team works collaboratively to advance evidence and save lives by leading rigorous research and evaluation; results-driven technical assistance and training; and leading-edge data science and technology tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Query large databases, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer claims data
Construct and document analytic data files
Create customized and presentation-quality reports from data analysis results
Apply quantitative methods and techniques to manage and analyze research data
Participate in the design of research studies
Manage administrative aspects of projects
Support the preparation of technical procedures and reports
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative analytics field with a minimum of 2 years of quantitative research experience in health policy or a related field
OR a Master's degree in a quantitative analytics field, health policy, public policy, or public health
2 years of experience in SQL/Python/Linux
Experience processing and analyzing Medicare, Medicaid, or other commercial claims data
Knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques
Experience with Snowflake and Databricks preferred, but not required

AIR's Total Rewards Program is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $80,000-95,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
