Human Resources Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will work closely with the HR Director and staff within the Texas Institute for Electronics to provide proactive, high-quality, and timely human resources support.
Recruitment and Hiring:
- Develop position descriptions and create job postings
- Place external advertisements and source applicants
Onboarding and Employee Support:
- Coordinate hires and manage onboarding for new employees
- Facilitate small group orientation sessions and provide support to new employees
Employee Administration:
- Process and maintain employee assignments, ensuring compliance with university policy
- Work with TIE management to coordinate employee compensation changes
Timekeeping and Benefits:
- Assist staff with understanding proper timekeeping practices
- Manage access to electronic time sheets and work with staff and supervisors to make adjustments to leave balances
Reporting and Analytics:
- Compile and disseminate reports to management, including hiring and compensation data
- Monitor timekeeping reports and send reminder notices to staff as needed
Special Projects and Support:
- Coordinate training programs, including compliance training and workplace safety training
- Provide backup support to other team members and perform other related duties as assigned
