Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist to join our team at Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Augusta, GA for Part-Time (20 hours/week) position.

About the Role:

The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to patients in a correctional environment, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various dental conditions. This role involves working closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure effective integration of dental services with other healthcare services provided to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret radiographic exams as needed.
  • Provide dental treatment, including emergency procedures, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy.
  • Make referrals for procedures that cannot be performed at the facility.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director.

Requirements:

  • Maintains current DEA number.
  • Currently licensed in the state.
  • Must be fluent in English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
  • Must be a supportive team member, who contributes to and demonstrates teamwork and team concept.
