Job Summary:

ECPI University is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marketing Data Analyst to join our planning and Analysis team in Virginia Beach.

This role will report to the Director of Planning and Analysis.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data analysis and will be responsible for analyzing marketing data, deriving actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes to enhance our university's marketing strategies and initiatives.

This role is essential for optimizing campaign performance, understanding market trends, and driving growth through data intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data from various sources including social media, website analytics, CRM systems (HubSpot), and advertising platforms.

Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI to present insights and recommendations to the marketing team and stakeholders.

Campaign Performance Monitoring:

Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.

Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.

Provide actionable insights to improve campaign performance.

Market Research:

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and customer preferences.

Use research findings to inform marketing strategies and tactics.

Data Management:

Maintain and ensure the accuracy of marketing databases and data sources.

Implement data quality controls and processes to ensure data integrity.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing team, as well as other departments, to understand their data needs and provide support for data-driven decision-making.

Align marketing data with broader organizational goals.

Advanced Analytics:

Utilize statistical techniques and tools to perform advanced analyses, such as predictive modeling and segmentation, to support strategic initiatives and marketing planning.

Reporting Tools:

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using HubSpot and Power BI.

Ensure that reports are accessible, user-friendly, and tailored to different audiences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) is a plus.

Proven experience (5+ years) in a data analyst role, preferably within a marketing or higher education context.

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Power BI.

Solid understanding of marketing principles, metrics, and KPIs.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data findings in a compelling and understandable manner.

Experience with SQL or other programming languages for data manipulation is a plus.
