Roessel Joy is seeking a highly skilled AP Specialist to join their team. As an AP Specialist, you will be responsible for processing high-volume AP invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval, and preparing and processing weekly check runs and electronic payments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, high-volume AP processing experience, and a manufacturing background. They will also be proficient in accounting software such as Sage or UltiPro and have a strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any payment or invoice issues
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Sage or UltiPro
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Experience with journal entries, general ledger accounting, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
