Executive Director Opportunity

Lifespace Communities, a leading provider of non-profit retirement communities, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our community in the Chicago area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategic plan to maintain quality services, attracting and retaining key leadership and management teams, and developing a positive professional relationship with residents, team members, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the strategic plan to maintain quality services throughout the community
  • Attract, recruit, hire, develop, and retain key leadership and management teams
  • Develop a positive professional relationship with residents, resident family members, team members, and external stakeholders
  • Meet routinely with Lifespace Senior Leadership to report on operational issues and trends
  • Initiate, design, and support programs to adhere to OSHA, workers' compensation, and risk avoidance
  • Collaborate with the local Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure clear expectations and accountability for sales goals
  • Own and manage an annual marketing plan to determine sales goals and ensure budgeted monthly and annual sales goals are met
  • Prepare the community's annual operating budget and manage programs and strategies to ensure budgets are met
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, gerontology, hotel/restaurant management, or a closely related area
  • Master's degree is highly preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an executive director or administrator within a continuing care retirement community
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an executive director or administrator in a long-term care senior living environment
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive leadership with the hospitality industry
