About the RoleThis is an exciting chance to work with advanced digital imaging solutions and be part of a dedicated team that enables new technologies to improve processes in a pre-production environment.
You will receive comprehensive training, including 1-2 weeks in Austin, Texas or Japan, and 4 weeks of on-the-job training in Hillsboro, Oregon.
This position requires flexibility to adapt to a compressed workweek schedule as needed and involves full-time presence at assigned offices/work sites/territories.
Your Impact- Ensure equipment maintenance within factory standards for system equipment.
- Instruct customers on operation and maintenance procedures for system equipment.
- Serve as liaison between company and customer regarding project matters (installations and major component replacements).
- Perform complex repair/maintenance or unit replacement according to factory procedures independently and with others.
- Provide technical support, respond to questions, and minimize equipment downtime to ensure positive customer relations.
- Identify/report equipment errors/status updates related to performance issues to aid troubleshooting/maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activity and provide periodic reports.
- Conduct training for customer personnel ensuring proficiency in service and operations.
- Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot/servicing equipment.
Please note that this is a customer-facing role, requiring compliance with customer policies/protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required (Bachelor's degree preferred) plus 4-5 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Linux operating system preferred for operating/troubleshooting systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (semiconductor manufacturing equipment).
- Hands-on mechanical skills required.
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing tools required.
- Able to work alone/effectively collaborate with engineers as a team player under challenging situations.
- Addition experience/knowledge in optical, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skill, or chemical are beneficial.
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills, verbal/written communication skills.
- Customer support experience is advantageous.
- Able to travel and work flexible schedules.
- Familiarity with working in a cleanroom environment most of the day (wearing full suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses).
- May require International/domestic travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
- Requires ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually; assistance available for lifting over 30 pounds.
- Substantial amount of standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, and hearing.
- Occasionally kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs/ladders.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity with/without corrective lenses for extensive reading, inspection, measurement devices, assembly/fabrication parts at distances close to eyes.
- The work environment may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to chemicals, ultraviolet light, lasers, working in enclosed spaces, narrow aisles/passageways.
- The work environment may involve highly time-sensitive situations requiring quick resolution including equipment problems.
