Senior Meat Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Meat Department Manager to join our team at Whole Foods Market. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to lead our meat department and contribute to the success of our store.
Job Summary
The Senior Meat Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, including sales, purchasing, and labor management. This includes developing and maintaining creative store layout and product merchandising, working with the team to achieve sales and purchasing targets, and assisting with inventory management and ordering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Manage the meat department team, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- Work closely with the store management team to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and provide regular reports and updates on department performance.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving, and ensure that stock levels are maintained at an optimal level.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the department has access to a wide range of high-quality products.
- Ensure that all department procedures and policies are followed, and that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- A strong understanding of meat products, including knowledge of different cuts, suppliers, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

As a Senior Meat Department Manager at Whole Foods Market, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $26.50-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
