Advanced Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our team at Williamson Health, a leading healthcare provider in Franklin, Tennessee. As an Echocardiographer with our organization, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality echocardiography services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Job DescriptionThis part-time position requires proficiency in advanced echocardiography techniques and collaboration with cardiologists. You will be working in a multimodality imaging department that provides Echocardiograms, and will be expected to possess the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include physically manipulating and operating equipment, assisting in the movement of patients from wheelchairs to stretchers, bending, twisting, stooping, lifting 20 pounds, communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, making appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations, and demonstrating emotional stability and psychological health in day-to-day interaction with fellow employees, patients, their families, and physicians.
Responsibilities- Checks patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
- Recognizes abnormal studies and reports appropriately. Understands proper use of Definity.
- Seeks opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always makes good use of time.
- Correctly records preliminary calculations and post measurements and findings.
- Assist Cardiologists during TEE's and Cardioversions.
- Shows leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and makes appropriate decisions.
- Volunteers for overtime and fill-in when needed.
- Performs high quality studies consistently and follows pre-determined standards (protocols) and procedures for all echocardiography studies.
- Communicates and follows through with fellow employees to ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
- Willing to provide portable studies for patients when it is in the best interest of the patient as deemed necessary by the patient's nurse or nursing supervisor.
- Utilizes knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to accurately communicate patient pathology to Cardiologist.
- Responds in a timely manner when on call.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
