Job Summary

As a key member of the American Water team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our water and wastewater systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Water Resources Planner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive water and wastewater system plans to ensure the long-term sustainability and efficiency of our infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of system capacity, water quality, and treatment processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain asset investment plans, capital expenditure plans, and strategic capital plans.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders through expert testimony, presentations, and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Environmental or Civil preferred) or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in water resources engineering and/or planning.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
  • Valid driver's license.
