Job Summary
">We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and clinical leadership in the outpatient setting.
About the Job
This is a Full-time position that requires a high level of expertise in assessing patient conditions, setting goals, and utilizing appropriate nursing actions to achieve those goals. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and provide education to patients and family members on preventive care, medical issues, and treatment options.
Responsibilities

- Assess patient's condition and nursing needs; set goals and utilize appropriate nursing actions to achieve goals">
- Provide and document nursing care">
- Ensure that physician's orders are carried out">
- Maintain supply stock levels">
- Record and report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to medical staff">
- Administer medications and perform routine treatments">
- Assist physician with special tests, procedures, and complex treatments">
- Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel">
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with procedures by other UH departments and clinics">
Requirements
- ">
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent experience)">
- Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate">
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days">
- RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement by NM">
- Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo preferred">
Working Conditions
This position requires Heavy Work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. The working environment may include exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
">Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,400 - $110,700, based on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
