We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) nurse to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital. As a PCICU nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to children with complex cardiac conditions.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric cardiovascular nursing, with experience working in a PCICU setting. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans, as well as collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.
- You will assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans that address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- You will implement evidence-based practice and remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric cardiovascular nursing.
- You will participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
A current CA RN licenseAt least 2 years of experience in a PCICU settingPEDS Cardiac experience - MUST be cardiac trainedHeart transplant experienceAbility to float between unitsExperience in ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretationWorking Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available. Weekend requirements include 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Requested time off is 3 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week). Self-scheduling is available.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is approximately $$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
