Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Powder Filling Specialist to join our team at Somafina. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This position involves setting up and operating machinery, inspecting capsules for accuracy, and recording information such as batch codes and production metrics. The successful candidate will be able to make adjustments or minor repairs to equipment and investigate any issues with product yield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate powder filling machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production
  • Inspect capsules for correct filling and weight, identifying and addressing any issues
  • Record production data, including batch codes, time, and production metrics
  • Investigate and resolve any issues with product yield or equipment performance

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and other written materials
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheet software

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, reach, climb, and balance
  • Occasional lifting of up to 90 lbs and frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs
  • Specific vision requirements include near acuity, far acuity, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision

Estimated Salary Range:$45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
