Career OpportunitiesWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team at Williamson Medical Center. As a valued member of our perinatal care team, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic patients.
Job SummaryThe RN Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for planning individualized care for patients, providing emotional support alongside medical expertise to ensure their well-being. This role requires critical thinking and adaptability while working in high-pressure environments, contributing to the overall mission of delivering exemplary healthcare in the community.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
- Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
- Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Document accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
- Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.

$83,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
