Job Title: Chief Innovation Security Officer

The City of Riverside, CA is seeking a highly experienced Chief Innovation Security Officer to lead its information security and cyber security programs. As a key member of the City's Innovation and Technology Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security measures to protect the City's information, digital, and physical assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of City data and systems.
  • Lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the City's IT systems and data are protected in the event of a disaster or outage.
  • Collaborate with City departments to identify and mitigate security risks, and develop strategies to prevent and respond to cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate City staff on security best practices and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to City departments on security-related matters.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on cyber security and risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with City departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • CISSP or equivalent certification.
