Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support our Customer in the Hillsboro area with 70-80% of travel required.

The primary mission of this experienced Field Service Engineer is to install, modify, and service complex equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of Company products at all types of customer field sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations of systems, upgrades, and retrofits, as well as diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repairs of complex electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Provide basic-to-advanced equipment troubleshooting, identification of equipment or process problems, and operational, maintenance, and proper use training to customers and fellow employees on equipment.
  • Recommend equipment modifications or improvements to methods and/or maintenance schedules to enhance the operation and performance of the equipment.
  • Submit all necessary documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, and weekly update field service reports, in a timely manner.
  • Maintain technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills to be thoroughly knowledgeable in and capable of correcting problems concerned with the electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical assembly, drive mechanism, and software systems for all equipment.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or an Associate degree in electronics, electrical, and/or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Related field service experience and/or training, with emphasis on vacuum products, or other equivalent combination of training and experience or military experience.
  • The ability to travel to assigned customer sites on a daily basis.
  • Qualifications to work in a clean room or fab environment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
