About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Oncology Nurse Specialist in the Radiology department at Atlantic Health System.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. As a Senior Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing personalized care plans that address their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patients for side effects and adverse reactions.
  • Conduct patient education sessions, empowering individuals and their families to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, communicating effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification also required.
  • At least one year of experience in oncology nursing; experience in radiology settings a plus.
