Job Description

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Operation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational oversight for diverse facilities support, including the planning, organization, and supervision of an integrated workforce operations program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform supervisory duties, including instructing, assigning, and reviewing work, planning, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and acting on employee performance concerns.
  • Manage the schedule of all onsite workers, facilities, and operational support staff.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and staff to ensure 24/7 staff coverage as required.
  • Control and monitor the use of overtime for hourly personnel.
  • Provide reports with detailed analysis of workforce levels, critical skill set needs, and projections.
  • Manage department schedules by maintaining calendars for department personnel and arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
  • Secure information by completing database backups.
  • Provide historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Exhibit cultural sensitivity and humility when working with leadership and employees.
  • Lead and support programs and processes that meet program and federal objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate discipline is maintained across the facility.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with team-members to achieve effective and efficient program operations.
  • Prepare and discuss performance, including evaluations.
  • Conduct team meetings.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree and 4 years' experience in managing scheduling for workforce operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide support for and problem solve with direct care and supervisory staff as well as system partners.
  • Ability to effectively utilize a web-based data scheduling system to manage project information.
  • Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver comprehensive scheduling practices for large organizations.
  • Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple work sites and teams.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong organization, planning, and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to physical and mental education, including the ability to participate in these activities daily.
  • Must be able to lift items over 20 pounds.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
