About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of on-site and remote work, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Job Description

This senior-level position involves leading functional and automated testing of our in-house warehouse design and simulation tool. You will be responsible for guiding the QA team to validate complex systems, ensuring quality in mission-critical product releases. Key responsibilities include:

  • Validating distributed, multi-threaded, and multiprocessor systems end-to-end.
  • Creating strategies and test cases for new product features.
  • Developing test plans, test suites, and test cases with development teams.
  • Managing defect tracking and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
  • Participating in Agile/SCRUM exercises to ensure effective teamwork.

You will also have opportunities to travel up to 10% to customer sites to provide engineering support.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (5+ years of experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Test Framework design practices and implementation from scratch.
  • Ability to evaluate and develop code for test execution and automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, web-based applications, databases, APIs, and Selenium.
  • Proven experience with developing test plans and strategies, defect tracking, and test case management using tools like Jira and TestRail.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Discretionary bonuses may also be available.
