PLC Programmer

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our automation team, you will design, develop, and manage all aspects of our automated production systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems, analyzing data, and presenting findings along with strategies for improvement. You will also manage the installation and technical support of PLC-based hardware and software.

In this role, you will work closely with programmers and database administrators to integrate with existing systems and data collection. You will also assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting controls, electrical, and other related issues to minimize downtime in all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and upgrade computer-integrated manufacturing systems
• Manage projects to specify, install, and debug logic, controllers, and associated input/output controllers
• Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs
• Work closely with Process Control, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel on all assigned control systems
• Maintain and improve the manufacturing real-time data acquisition and control systems to increase reliability, accuracy, and speed

• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement ability
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and accountability for assigned projects
• Ability to work flexible hours to support automated software systems
• Proficient troubleshooting and rectifying a wide range of controller and electrical problems across multiple platforms
