Senior Transportation Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Supervisor to join our team at JAUNT, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor pickup and drop-off points to ensure drivers adhere to company protocols, reporting any issues to other team members for resolution.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Training Manager to ensure consistent and equitable driver supervision.
- Evaluate driver performance in conjunction with the Training Manager and under the direction of the Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
- Investigate accidents, preparing comprehensive reports as needed.
- Reconcile driver timecards daily, ensuring accurate records and timely submissions.
- Document exceptional performance and failures to meet performance criteria, maintaining detailed reports on attendance, incidents, and personnel data.
- Work closely with the Training Manager to review accidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to service and personnel policies and procedures, addressing client complaints and concerns related to service delivery or personnel matters.
- Assist clients with problems or issues related to service delivery or specific personnel, referring complex cases to relevant departments as necessary.
- Work an alternative schedule as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs to enhance driver skills and knowledge.
- May be required to serve as a backup driver, as directed by management.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., transportation management, business administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a transportation-related field, preferably with a focus on operations management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A valid Virginia driver's license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within three months of hire.
Working Conditions
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with passengers, drivers, and other team members. You must be able to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions quickly, and communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. JAUNT, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
