We are seeking a skilled Metalworking Specialist to join our team in South Louisiana. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to consult with customers, educate them on technology and innovation, and lead change at customer sites.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the metalworking industry or distribution, with previous field sales experience being ideal. They will be responsible for utilizing their expert knowledge to conduct onsite assessments, identify improvement opportunities, and develop plans to accomplish sales goals for growth across metalworking products in the territory.
This role offers a competitive salary, including $32,800 in commission at 100% target with three months guaranteed, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 6% 401(k) company contribution.
Key Responsibilities- Educate customers on technology and innovation while leading change at customer sites.
- Partner with Grainger sales teams and key suppliers to influence customer strategy and execution of metalworking sales growth.
- Perform process and product assessments for customers within metalworking applications.
- Understand how to document and present value and cost savings to customers.
- Develop and execute a plan to accomplish sales goals for growth across metalworking products in the territory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the metalworking industry or distribution.
- Previous field sales experience ideal.
- Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Project management knowledge.
- Experience managing external and internal customer relationships.
- Prior success working independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or Salesforce experience ideal.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel in the South Louisiana market to see customers in addition to two to three overnights per month.
