Incredible Health is actively hiring a skilled PACU Nurse for their Melbourne, FL location. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
As a PACU Nurse at Incredible Health, you will be part of a collaborative team that prioritizes patient-centered care and seamless transitions from the operating room to discharge. Your expertise in post-operative care will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality post-operative care to a diverse range of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and managing symptoms of anesthesia
- Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transition from the operating room to discharge
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
