Community Living Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Community Living team as a Scheduler/ Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain core schedules for our residential homes, working closely with Residential Advisors to coordinate staff scheduling.
- Provide weekend on-call coverage, working on-call weekends several times a year.
- Work with PRN (on-call) staff to ensure they are regularly working a minimum of 12 hours per month.
- Verify staff members are properly trained to work at particular homes.
- Screen potential employees by conducting initial or follow-up interviews for Residential positions.
- Rotate with the Assistant Director to provide staff orientation to new hires and provide necessary follow-up.
- Perform direct-care duties as needed when working as a Direct Support Professional.
- Assist in communicating progress, concerns, and needs of individuals served to families, caregivers, and other authorized persons or agencies participating in the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Assist the Assistant Director in maintaining files and documentation, as well as any other necessary administrative tasks.
- Process timesheets for residential staff.
This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience working as a Direct Support Professional with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with email systems, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to learn and teach new computer programs quickly and efficiently.
- CPR, First Aid, CMT, and other Developmental Disabilities Administration and Arc required training within 90 days.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- A valid driver's license with no more than two current points on record.
- A clean drug screen and criminal record check.
- Ability to lift, manipulate, and carry at least 50 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting of over 100 pounds.
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
