About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Data and Technology to join our team at Allegro Home Delivery. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting existing system integrations as well as new capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a background and proven experience with API creation, development, and support. Proficiency in PHP programming language and working knowledge of Linux operating system are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support various applications and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality and performance.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and issues.

Leadership:

  • Directly or indirectly lead by encouraging and fostering a culture of growth and personal development while achieving business objectives.
  • Monitor D&T outcomes and provide guidance to leadership while developing policies and best practices that drive toward desired state.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an API Developer or similar role.
  • 2+ years of experience developing with PHP programming language.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and JSON/XML.
  • Experience with API testing tools/techniques and version control systems (ex: GitHub).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (ex: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages (ex: Python, JavaScript).
