Girls on the Run Mid Michigan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission of empowering girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident.
The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall strategy and vision for the Girls on the Run program, as well as overseeing all operational and administrative aspects of the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and fostering a strong relationship with the Board of Trustees and Girls on the Run International.
- Maintaining appropriate staffing structure and overseeing recruiting, training, development, and evaluation of staff.
- Planning and implementing a council growth plan that addresses program and site development strategies.
- Cultivating relationships with coaches, donors, caregivers, participants, sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Representing the organization to the public and acting as an ambassador to promote the Girls on the Run mission and programs.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the Girls on the Run mission and the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate issues surrounding empowerment, self-esteem, body image, and whole-person health.
Required qualifications include a BA or BS degree or comparable work experience, access to reliable transportation, and local residency in the mid-Michigan area.
Preferred qualifications include strategic planning experience, experience with Girls on the Run or similar youth or wellness programs, non-profit management experience, fundraising experience, and experience working with a Board of Trustees.
Compensation and benefits include a starting salary of $58,656, paid holidays, four weeks of PTO, a contribution toward health and dental insurance, and a 3% match to a simple IRA.
