Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties: Assist with in-room preparation of patients, set up the surgical suite, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Environmental Responsibilities: Prepare sterile equipment, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and assist with case turnover.
  • Development and Growth: Stay up-to-date with current knowledge, certification, and licensure requirements, and participate in continuing education programs.
  • Organizational Knowledge: Work effectively within and between departments, communicate unit knowledge, and provide information to department/unit teams.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited surgical tech program
  • 1-2 years' experience in a hospital setting
  • Surgical experience
  • CPR Certification
