Join Our Team as a Med Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg Float Pool team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Med Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role

As a Med Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate and revise plans of care based on patient responses to treatment and regularly evaluate plan effectiveness
  • Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate, and revise plans of care to meet patient needs and goals
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
