Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist - Columbus

Recovery Center of Ohio, LLC is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Columbus, OH.

Job Summary:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will use their personal experiences to develop meaningful and trusting relationships with clients, acting as a mentor and role model for recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of addiction and community resources, as well as excellent interpersonal and engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with arrival and departure
  • Coordinate with treatment team for client care
  • Assist clients with connecting to community organizations and resources
  • Provide recovery education and mentorship to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community groups and agencies
  • Promote client self-advocacy
Requirements:
  • Peer Support Certification
  • Current Adult CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of addiction and community resources
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
  • Strong computer skills
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to commute or relocate to Columbus, OH.

Education and Experience:
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Addiction counseling experience (Preferred)
