Key Responsibilities
  • Support training, retraining, and communication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to relevant employees as required.
  • Organize staff training and development, including equipment operating safety procedures.
  • Monitor performance and conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews, as well as performance improvement plans as required.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints.
  • Communicate safety policies in accordance with applicable federal safety standards and local laws.
  • Support special projects and assignments.
  • Maintain communications with other departments regarding any problems related to their area of coverage.
  • Maintain an excellent working environment focused on teamwork and open communication.
  • Provide daily management presence, mentor staff, and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained with respect to project deliverables and client interactions.
  • Provide professional internal/external presentations.
  • Act as the company's primary resource in their area of expertise, providing leadership and direction on all related issues.
  • Share technical and competitive information with colleagues and provide expertise to others when required.
  • Promote cooperation within their own team as well as between groups and with other departments.
  • Perform all other assigned duties as presented by the manager.
Requirements
  • Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience, including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Must be open to flexible hours to support Mckesson, the team, and our customer; must also be open to adjusting shift and overtime as needed based on business requirements.
  • Experience managing, leading, and developing staff.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent and effective business communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions.
  • Demonstrated employee engagement skills.
  • Experience inspiring a team, leveraging strengths, executing a strategy, advancing a business, and developing self/others.
  • Skill at communicating insights and understanding of issues and problems.
  • Experienced in analyzing data and conditions in real-time and adjusting as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Skilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline, and record keeping.
  • WMS experience preferred.
  • MS Access proficiency and ability to interpret and analyze data.
Physical Requirements
  • High energy distribution center environment.
  • Some overtime required.
