Job Summary:

The Melting Pot is seeking a skilled Dishwasher Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen area. Your duties will include setting up and maintaining the dish machine, using proper pre-soaking procedures, and cleaning fondue pots and forks. You will also be responsible for documenting and reporting any repairs or maintenance issues. Additionally, you will practice teamwork by communicating with and assisting all members of the restaurant team. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Perform dish machine set up and maintenance
Use proper pre-soaking procedures, cleaning fondue pots, cleaning fondue forks, and following proper chemical usage
Immediately document and report repairs and maintenance issues
Practice teamwork by communicating with and assisting all members of the restaurant team
Use checklists to ensure proper set up and close down of each shift

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Basic knowledge of kitchen cleaning procedures
