Patient Access Coordinator

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing general health information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer high-volume phone calls and schedule appointments in our database system.
- Process online appointment requests and schedule appointments in our system.
- Triage calls to clinicians as needed.
- Provide information about services offered at Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, including directions, hours of operation, and prices.
- Receive, manage, and direct calls from patients for reproductive healthcare services and programs.
- Create and provide accurate financial quotes and estimates to patients through our Electronic Health Record system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all policy and privacy requirements.
- Support the team and organizational decisions, displaying a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent, plus 6 months of experience in a call center, medical billing, medical front office, or medical assistant role. Experience scheduling patients using an automated patient management system in a healthcare environment is desired.
