Job Summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking an Expert Healthcare Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive health assessments and evaluations for patients in the clinic under the supervision of the Medical Director.

Our organization includes three hospitals, four medical parks, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, and an extensive primary and specialty care provider network.

Responsibilities:
  1. Health Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and evaluations for patients in the clinic under the supervision of the Medical Director.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans by prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws.
  3. Patient Education: Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  5. Continuous Quality Improvement: Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education and quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science or Nursing required.
  • Successful completion of physician assistant/Advanced Practice RN training and certification as a physician assistant/APRN (general or specialized) from an approved program.
  • Current PA or APRN License in the State of Florida required.
  • Certified as National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
  • BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association required.
