Overview

As a Registered Nurse First Assist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize principles of aseptic technique to create and maintain a sterile field.
  • Plan and provide equipment and supplies based on patient and physician needs.
  • Demonstrate competency in assisting surgeons and perioperative nursing practice related to preoperative & postoperative nursing care.
  • Promote cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the operating room.
  • Participate in on-call assignments and demonstrate flexibility to cover staffing as needed.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
  • Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA)
  • Registered Nurse
