Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Summit Health Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient support and communication, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, and other patient care activities as ordered or indicated.
Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings accurately and efficiently.
Authorize prescription refills as directed by the physician or advanced practice provider.
Schedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire.
1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
Bilingual required.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
