**Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, with a $3.00 an hour weekend differential and a $3000.00 sign-on bonus for full-time days and evenings.


**Job Description:

Nursing Leadership Role at Franciscan Ministries

In this critical nursing leadership role, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and overseeing the day-to-day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations as well as established facility policies and procedures.


  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills by directing the daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and established company policies and procedures.
  • Promote holistic care for our residents by following the nursing model and ensuring that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure that residents' needs are met holistically.
  • Assess for changes in residents' status and notify the physician and resident's family or representative accordingly.
  • Transcribe and carry out physician orders as written, including preparing and administering medications and performing wound treatments as per physicians' orders.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for residents and arrange transportation needs as indicated.
  • Provide nursing leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Perform rounds to ensure that resident needs are being met and personnel are performing their assigned duties.
  • Report any incidents or unusual occurrences to the community's leadership team.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that there is adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment, and notify appropriate personnel of needs.
  • Initiate, review and update care plans as required and participate in the survey process when inspection surveys arise.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control principles and help correct deficiencies in practice as noted.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures and any updates.


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state

• Current CPR certification

• 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics

• Ability to demonstrate compassion when working with residents

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
